A remarkable debut single from Italy's Piero Russo as E.S.O.M. (Electronic Sound Of Milano) blending futurist abstract tones with primal Chicago House and Detroit Techno styled percussion.
"Life Form" starts with low rumbling bass and sound effects that grooves on top of shuffling percussions then the resonance filter opens up and a rolling bass stab and simmers into one addictive bassline and toping it off with high and tight strings and sound effects that brings it all to a boil.
"Air" flips it around with deep strings and pads warms the soul while a space aged, acidic bassline moves it. All that instrumentation has very modern Detroit style. This track really takes you to another place; we just call it the dancefloor.
"Blue Pyramid," a lush, melodic, ambient tune that paints a very serene picture in the listener. Warm and soothing pads calms the soul, while a light percussions and a bubbling bassline moves the whole piece along. The track remind us of the old B12 and ART records from the early to mid 90's.

EMP008 • Obsolete Music Technology • Evening Star (12")
3 tracker containing the original mix of "Evening Star" recently featured on AW Recordings' "Viewpoints: Chapter One" compilation. Solid grooves accompanied by warm synthy bassline, moody strings, lush pads and a double layer syncopated riff.
"Lowjack" a sparse Chicago style jack track number aimed to get the fists pumping. Rubbling bassline add insult to injury to speaker cabs built upon a 808 drum kit.
"Inner Voice" takes one to a far away place with its hard 909 kick drum supported by well crafted, deep, sliding bassline as synth pads ease right in to tug on your heart strings.

"Ominous" first appeared in an edited version on the 2002 DEMF CD compilation from Generator Records, Detroit. This is the full length release of the track. Includes remix by Arne Weinberg, plus 2 new Tang tracks. Read more.
